Employee Retention Tax Credit Benefits As a business owner, you likely felt the financial strain
The CARES Act is the legislative act that created 2 economic recovery programs for businesses: 1) the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and 2) The Employee Retention Tax Credit (“ERTC”). Initially businesses could only apply for one. In 2020 the legislation changed and now in addition to PPP, your business may qualify for ERTC Relief of up to $26,000 per W-2 employee by claiming employee retention tax credits.
Please note that the 2020 ERTC Benefit expired 4/15/24. The program is still open and credits are avaialble. 2021 Tax Credits are still available for up to $21,000 per W-2 Employee.
